Dog Friendly Holiday Houses In Oxfordshire

We’re dog lovers here at The Old Farmyard so we appreciate the need for dog friendly holiday houses in Oxfordshire, especially when there’s a big group of you and the thought of leaving the family pet behind is just too much. Well, that’s not a problem when you stay at our lovingly restored holiday barns because each one welcomes 2 well behaved dogs at a small extra charge.

The Grinding Barn sleeps 14 in 7 bedrooms and Embers Barn sleeps 12 in 6 bedrooms; both have an enormous open plan living space where there’s heaps of room for you all to get together, pooch included. In the colder months he’ll love lying by the fire content in your company while you gather round and tuck into hot buttery toast; when it’s warm out he’ll enjoy lying in the sun on the terrace or playing ball around the garden.

If you want to go out exploring we don’t think that tail will stop wagging because there are so many good walks round these parts. Wander down to the village and stop for refreshments in the local pub, or further afield you can set off for a walk along the Ridgeway National Trail enjoying the gently rolling chalk hills and breathtaking views. Go to Faringdon and climb up to the woods where Faringdon Tower stands, go and see the Bronze Age White Horse carved into the chalk hillside at Uffington, do the circular walk at Badbury Clump, a feast for the eyes when the woodland floor is carpeted with bluebells in the spring time.
